I think it can. But it can't display them for reading. But they will import and can then be sideloaded via Calibre can't they? To read the book, you would have to sideload the book to a device that has been authorized in the books DRM scheme however.

I seem to remember doing this a long time ago when I first started using Calibre. Nowadays, every book I buy has the DRM stripped from it immediately, so I haven't actually tried to use Calibre to import and keep a DRM-ed book. I could be remembering incorrectly since it's been years since I've attempted that.
