Yes it does.
I'm not seeing any sluggishness compared to other Eink devices - or not yet, at least. I'm also not seeing any benefits in battery life, although I grant you that, given the thin body of the Leaf 2, there isn't much room for a battery. I haven't had the Leaf very long, so it may be a few days before I get a real sense of battery life.
I really like the display on the Leaf 2 so far.
