Hmmm. Nokian Ones are 3 season tires. Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires are winter tires. It’s that time of year to switch. Sadly too many other people had the same idea and the installers were running late. Which had me wondering why I had bothered to make an appointment.
As to why Nokian is using the name of the Finnish light cavalry in service to Gustavus Adolphus during the Thirty Years war for their winter tires? That’s the interesting question. Their battle cry was hakkaa päälle loosely translated as strike them down or hack them down.
