Then go to the Device settings and edit which folders/directories to exclude. Probably edit to scan only Books on the SD card. Then next time you connect it will be much faster.
You can't edit the folder list on Calibre till after you have connected and an intial scan is done. So now if I get a new phone/tablet/SD Card I make a folder in SD Card called Books and connect to calibre before installing any apps, musric, video etc.
