I doubt it, but I don't have any such ebooks to test.
It's just so the Kobo doesn't connect to Kobo. Has the side effect of making "My Books" be the "home screen".
All our Kobos in the family have "sideloadedmode" on because we all only use Calibre to load ebooks, no-one uses sync, no-one uses the Internet on the ereaders (they all have phones & tablets etc) and everyone prefers "My Books" as the default screen.
