Show where?
You can show it in the Book Details panel (embedded or detached) by checking the 'id' column in
Preferences->Look & feel->Book details, viz:
If you want to see it in the book list you have to create a custom 'composite' column with
{id} in the template, viz:
FWIW: because I find having an
id/id column and an
Ids/identifiers column confusing, I have a
Book Number/#booknumber column in all my libraries.
You can't change the id/id column
