What did the meter show after 13 days?
Unless it's showing that the charge level has gone way down, I don't think there's anything to worry about. I wouldn't worry much about how long the red light stays on. Take a look at the meter after it has been sitting for a long time. If it still shows it's relatively full, then you're fine.
