He had a Kobo once before, but he didn't really like it. He's not very tech-oriented in many ways, and he decided he wanted a Kindle after using the Kobo for only a little while. (Thankfully, I hadn't spent a ton on the Kobo, got it used on eBay.) Then, when the Oasis 2 came out, he traded in his Paperwhite.

I just don't feel like the Oasis 3 is enough of an upgrade to spend on.
