The epub to epub conversion probably fixes multiple structural problems with that book, including the missing title page.
Gutenberg use to publish a lot of books like that and I had to fix them before I could read the first chapter sanely.

That makes sense, something is definitely messing up the formating. I have one web novel that the first page opens like that, but if I can get to the 1st chapter, the formatting is normal again.
What doesn't make sense to me is that it's only happening with books sent and converted with the extendtouch driver.
