I would disagree that an iPad goes obsolete faster. My current iPad is 3 years older than my Android tablet. Care to guess which one is still being updated? As for "Cloud"? Apple's iCloud seems to work adequately though I also have OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox apps installed.
And I do so enjoy installing malware from those old APKs—NOT! For 99% of what I use my tablet for, the apps from the App Store are more than adequate. For the 1% remainder, I do have an Android tablet which has nothing that I worry about on it.
