Well, I can't find the image that includes the Surface. But here's a comparison between a 4:3 screen and a 16:10 screen. Notice the gray bars. On the 4:3 they're on the sides and on the 16:10 they are on the top and bottom. As you can see, the same comic cover is notably larger on the 16:10 screen.
