Kobo Libra H20 is AWFUL with footnotes!

I just got "Terry Pratchett - A life with footnotes", and guess what, the book is full of footnotes!

Before that, I hadn't used my Libra for a few months, so when it started it asked to do a software update (weirdly, it claimed it couldn't sync unless I did it... not sure what it was syncing too though, so after it was complete I shut off its internet).

Now that I'm reading the book, and double tap to visit a footnote, nothing happens. I have to page down to see that I actually ended up on the footnote page (and then page back up to read the relevant footnote). Double tapping on the footnote again to get back to where I was does however refresh the page properly.

I bought it with Adobe's horrible DRM, so since I want to manage my own digital rights, I stripped out that crud with Calibre and converted it back to the Epub format I thought I was buying anyway. Not sure if that should have any impact on the footnotes, though?

Anyone experienced this and what can be done about it?
