I assumed it wasn’t a cleaning issue because the screen freezes after usage. But I hope for their sake it’s as simple a fix as this. We won’t know until they get back to us.
Would funk on the screen cause the Kobo to freeze, though? I suppose anything is possible. Electronics constantly surprise me with how finicky and fragile they are.
