That's exactly how my toe looked when I broke it. Unfortunately, by the time I realized it'd already started healing wrong and now it's permanently crooked. Unfortunately, the only way to fix it would be to re-break it and even then there's no guarantee that would help.

The next morning it was already going away (receding?), except for a couple of spots, which probably took the brunt of the bump. Those spots are sore to the touch and the toe itself is stiff. It was a busy day in the store yesterday, by closing time my whole foot and leg were sore, because I walked differently than normal as not to hurt my toe.
But I'm postponing my autumn walk until Tuesday (today is chore day and tomorrow some packages *might* be delivered).
