This was a persistent problem with version 6.6.0 and 6.6.1. running on Win 11. Reinstalled several times, restarted machine and Caiibre, updated plugins, removed plugins - nothing worked. Reinstalling usually got me to the library screen once, but then locked up if adding books or metadata. Eventually disabled full text indexing and this solved the problem.
