I take 'Item weight' to mean 'the weight of the item' exclusive of what kind of box or plastic it is in when it is put into the shipping container that Amazon uses. At least that's the only meaningful 'Item weight'.
But it's probably lighter than full cases.
There is, of course, a 'weigh' to verify it: put it on a postal scale.
