Importing book triggers duplicate false-positive?

So basically, I've got two books with the same title and author. This is because the second is a continuation of the first, but I guess the publisher failed to add "Volume 2" to the second book anywhere, so it's quite confusing, even in the printed editions! You don't realize they're different books until you look at the ToC.

In any case, as I'm trying to import the second volume, Calibre is considering it a duplicate (even though I can see that the ISBNs are different in the metadata). Is there some way I can make it create its own entry upon import and then change the book title in the metadata to add a "Vol. 2" somewhere? Or is my only option to import it as a duplicate and then try to disentangle it once it's already in the database?
