Question Author sort losing the 2nd capital in last name. (MacLean -> Maclean)

Today I was doing some clean up in Calibre, (fix title sort, LN-FN swaps, Author sort, etc.)

When I did the Author Sort, I noticed all the books where the last names with two capitals (which were spelled correctly before in Author Sort) were now being flagged as need to be fixed.)

It was saying Alister MacLean, who's name in Author Sort, was being displayed as MacLean, Alister need to be corrected to Maclean, Alister

[Its possible that I forced that behavior manually many years ago when I entered those titles. Or, I am not sure if it is something that has changed in Calibre]

Anyway to stop this behavior?

As a side note, I noticed it was also switching one authors name to all caps.
John Smith who's name was in sort Smith, John, needs to be corrected to SMITH, JOHN

Any Ideas how to fix that behavior?
