Haven't noticed any outright glitches.

Checking whether this is the intended behaviour: I had a book with the [Cleanup] tag. I restricted the tag browser to 'Cleanup' and then used in_tag_browser:true so that only that book appeared. When I removed the tag in the single MDE, it disappeared from the list.
