Kobo Glo working image, latest update

***This is for the KOBO Glo N613 ONLY***
Use this image at your own risk. Make a BACKUP image of your SD card FIRST.

IMAGE FILE: https://we.tl/t-DDQMFKrO6n
You have 1 week to download the file.

Image made using winimage - you must go download/install yourself.
unzip the image using 7zip and you have an 8GB file called '8GB_KOBO_Fixed.vhd'

Ensure the ONLY removable drive in the computer is the SD card from the kobo Glo - it must be the internal 4GB sd (or a replacement LARGER SD card - i.e. 8, 16, 32) you remove after detaching the back of the KOBO....

[FYI the stock internal SD cards fail, so i would recommend REPLACING the sd card with an 8GB or larger SD]

Open winimage

Go to the DISK menu
Choose "Restore Virtual Hard disk on Physical drive"
Choose the SD card you want to write to
Choose the expanded .vhd image file
Write to the SD

Note: The image is "8GB" in size but works for 4 and 8 GB sd cards because the user data partition has NOT been expanded so anything past the 4GB mark is just empty space. If you are writing to a larger SD card, use MiniTool Partition manager to expand the last partition (Fat32) to the end of the drive to utilize all the space of the SD card after writing.

if you get a write error between 1-50% of writing on the stock 4GB sd card, it has failed and you need to get a new SD card.
