BTW I wanted to run two instances in order to troubleshoot an issue that I have with conversion to PDFs.

Why convert to PDF? In my use case (for some titles and in some other circumstances), because of all the features PDF Xchange Editor provides, like the one that makes it possible to change the background color.

So I ran a conversion from an EPUB title to PDF on three instances:
  • Main Instance (6.4) - when I try to change the background color of the converted PDF on Xchange, I get a white background.
  • Calibre Portable 4.23 - same as above
  • Calibre Portable 3.48 - I could successfully change the color of the background of the PDF converted

I'm attaching a zip containing 1 page of each file generated:

1) background color change went fine (3.48 conversion)
2) background color change with mostly white bg

So I ask, what changed from 3.48 to 4.23 in PDF conversion? Can I assign some CSS styling on the "Extra CSS" tab of the conversion settings that will override somehow that white background on PDFs?
