I create two catalogs of my books in Calibre. One with all the books in my library and one with just the books I haven't read yet. I use a custom column to indicate the books I've read (it's a boolean field).

When I create the catalogs, I have the kindle (paperwhite) plugged into my windows 10 computer.

Some books are missing from the catalogs. Today I realized that the missing books are the ones that are not listed as "On device".

The books were purchased from Amazon and were put into Calibre by using the download and transfer by USB option from Amazon.

I've attached a screen shot of an example. In this case the book "The Unknown Beloved" does not appear in either of my catalogs. And it should show up in both. All of the other books appear properly in the catalogs.

Any ideas why the books which aren't "on device" are being excluded?
I've also included a screen shot of the options I used for the catalog that should list all of the books.
