If this is an eBook for sale and there is going to be a Kindle version, you have to be careful as the beginning doesn't always show and thus such a warning won't show as most don't go back to the real beginning.
If this is an eBook that's just for personal use, try a font such as ChareInk that does have these symbols (i just double checked) and then there would be no reason to embed. The URL for ChareInk is
