I've not had any problem with my lighted cover and I've not taken any special care with it up to now. I'm wont to throw the whole thing into my backpack whenever I go anywhere. What I am going to do is add an elastic band to hold the cover shut so nothing can slip between the lightwedge and the screen and cause any damage to either. I've gotten a few tiny scratches on the wedge itself and those catch the light and can be annoying. I'd like to avoid any more scratches.
