No, that's not my impression at all. I think they gave two hoots (not) about saving paper.
I think that JK was
very deliberately leaving breadcrumbs and clues, red herrings, etc. in the TIMING of the parallelism. I'm...reasonably sure of it.
Does not make it one iota more enjoyable or forgivable to try to read on a Kindle PPW, though.
