I sent it back (actually they sent me the new one, I still have to send the other back). The new one hasn't crashed yet, but I haven't loaded the "huge book" yet - and reading some reviews of that book, it appears that several users experienced crashes and reboots when reading that book. So that could be a cause, or at least a concomitant cause. I'll have to look into splitting it.
I'm sort of wary of downloading that book into the new device...
