I, in fact, enjoy that the
same book looks
different depending on the device I happen to be reading it on, although the text is the same. I can enjoy the same book in Moon on Tuesday, and in Marvin on Friday, and it's a slightly different experience every time.
It's comparable, in the world of printed books, to various editions of the same book. Would we
really wish for (as an example) every single printed edition of the Bible to look exactly the same – in every edition ever printed? Not me!
I
enjoy the variety, under the 2 crucial conditions mentioned above: as long as
the original writer's meaning is preserved; and the resulting book is
a joy to look at. There can be many varieties of joy!
