If you use it to create empty books you should be able to download covers etc with calibre. Probably easiest to add the books using a script with multiple calibredb add commands with the --empty option. I would put them in empty library and copy them to where I wanted them once I had the metadata sorted (i.e. pub dates, covers, blurbs etc)
