Slightly O/T: I once stopped seeing a much-beloved, AMAZING hairdresser, who performed miracles with my very difficult hair--because she gave her cat BACK to the no-kill shelter from which she'd gotten it, b/c her new boyfriend pretended he was "allergic" to cats (yeah, right, the guy was a total d*ck and yes, I met him) and she got preggers and insisted on believing in Toxoplasmosis, even though I told her she could work around it. That was it for me.
