It's like Ferris Bueller's Day Off but with a Police Procedural.
I think it might fly if they'd just change her (Philosoph|Allegor)ical on-camera soliloquies to a couple of voice-overs at the beginning and the end of the episode. But as it is, watching other characters walk on screen and pretend they didn't just catch her chatting with some unseen audience is a bit painful.
