1/3 done with JD Carr's The Hollow Man - widely hailed as one of THE definitive locked room mysteries, by the master of the genre. Sadly, Fell grows ever grosser and more repellent to me. He may simply reflect the views of the time, but struggling through them feels like a waste of mine - especially when they're as vomitous as in the attached screenshot. I'll probably finish this one to see how it works out, but Carr will be joining Sayers and Queen on my dump list.
