My deployment is almost through and until I get back to Hawaii I can still use it by simply downloading things on to my laptop and USBing them to the Kindle2, no biggie.

I did browse all of the retailers and found that Mobi+Amazon>Mobi+Other formats.

So since the Kindle2 has the most books available, particularly in non-fiction, I was forced to choose the Kindle2 for that simple reason.
