First of all this makes no sense at all... white light does not get "more white" by reducing the blue light content...

Don't worry about it. This is more of a theoretical discussion, I guess.
It is highly unlikely that the Clara 2E will get ANY "new" features at all, that we have not seen in other Kobo devices already.
The developers usually reserve new features for their top-tier devices and every lower tier model just gets them handed down later. So whatever Kobo is working on right now will be implemented with the next Elipsa in a couple of years (or whatever follows that).
