I'm still not sure about ComfortGaze support, mainly because of the FCC report. E-Ink announced the tech at the beginning of April, and while the FCC filing happened in June, the device itself was in the testing lab in March. So that would have been before the ComfortGaze announcement.
I assume that the engineering sample has to have near-final hardware for submission, so did Kobo have early access to the tech before it was announced? That's why I'm 60% certain that badereader author pulled the info out of his butt or got it confused with something else. I guess time will tell.
