We watched Chelsea Detective which was OK. Now we're halfway through a German show, 23 Cases, which has an interesting premise - a man is convicted after confessing to 23 murders. The detective later accidentally learns that he couldn't possibly have committed one of them. That case is reopened and the convict's aid is sought to solve it. Together they find connections to several other of the 23, casting doubt that the convict committed any of those and possibly others that he confessed to. What makes it interesting is that the convict doesn't want absolution, but can't resist the challenge to match wits with the police and with the other suspects who surface in the investigation.
