Hey, no doing that! You know my short-term memory's shot, so I had strong suspicions I had written that.

The Gimp...which I suspect you've already given a burl, so I merely raise it for your response. Myself, I mostly work with my photos in Apple Aperture, and if I need to take one further than Aperture or its plugins can provide, I take it to The Gimp. I wish I could afford Photoshop CS ("Costs Shitloads"), or, rather, see the worth in it (<---subjective opinion here: that is, worth it to me). I'm considering Elements again, though from what little I have seen it looked like, instead of enhancing it, they were dumbing it down.

That's why I'm considering turning my lappie into a Hackintosh - because I know it works with my model. I'll still probably go with Ubuntu though, or/and one of the "instant on" OS's, depending on how they look. Actually, I think I can try Presto now in beta form...might go have a look...
