Hello,
the libraries are all located on the local hard disk.
I use the function all the time because I use auto-import to save new eBooks to a library, edit them there and then move them to a theme-based library at the end.
I rebooted my Macbook earlier and at the moment it works again, even several times in a row.
I will continue to observe this.
