As you can see, the sizes of the two are very similar. (IMHO), you are better off with a 7" screen.
The Kobo site for the Clara HD says: "110 x 159.6 x 8.35 mm".

The volume is 210,306.24 vs 146,592.6

The weight is 215g vs 166g.
