I've got a Basic Lux 3 and I can understand how your grandma would have trouble clicking the middle button the 4 (5?) way control and navigating to the right choice. It's kind of small and it's pretty easy to hit the sides instead of the middle. A touch screen might have been better (but I understand that can also cause issues).

Since your grandma probably never uses the long press on the forward or backward keys (defaults to page forward or back by 10 pages) I think long press on either (or both) of these keys might be easier than double clicking the power button.

I've now set up both of my forward and backward long press to go home or exit (both seem to do the same thing).

Since your grandma will be in a book, go to Settings > Personalize > Key Mapping > EPUB, FB2 and Others > Backward and/or Forward Hold (on the second page of options) > System (all the way on the bottom) > Main Menu (or Exit, which seems to do the same thing from the book anyhow). Now when your grandma pushes and holds either key she'll return to the Main Menu.

It might be worth a try at any rate.
