Yes it is, see
The calibre:// URL scheme
This is how I do it
Create a long text column to hold the link(s) to the related book(s):
Because long text columns in the book list can look 'ugly' I usually cloak the them with an icon -- hence the 2 character display name:
Now let's assume I want to link book 2 to book 3 in this list
First I must copy a link to book 2 from its book details panel
Then I put that link into the RB column of book 3, I do that by pressing F2 in RB column of the Book List
I prefer to use the context menu, but I've highlighted the Link button, which pops the dialogue to paste the book link
The end result is this (I colour book links burnt orange in the long text column editor)
Now, when I click on the RB link in the Remarkably Bright Creatures book details the book list will 'jump' to the Year of Wonders book line.
You don't have to do it by using F2 in the Book list, you can use the Metadata Editor if you prefer.
The Calibre URL scheme can create and use links to books in different libraries. Example: I keep books and journal articles in different libraries. I paste calibre://search links into the Author Link fields to link an authors books to their journal articles and vice-versa. The Author field in Book details has an option in its context menu that provides the search urls.
