I have one phone that uses USB-C. Every other device uses microUSB (or miniUSB). I've got several older eReaders. So, speaking for myself, USB-C is just an inconvenience. Although I admit I'm probably in the minority -- although I think there are still a huge number of microUSB eReaders in use.
