Well, there will have been changes. But since your max focal distance (without glasses) is only 9cm from your eyes, you probably haven't noticed that you can no longer focus as well on objects that are closer to your eyes than 9cm.

(I'm 58 and need around -7 lenses, so I can still easily read without my glasses on, but I have noticed that for really close work I need a magnifier now.)
