Haven't gotten that far yet; we took a break after the first epi.
I don't think I've read this. In fact, I'm
reasonably sure I haven't. I have to be in the right place, mentally, for Gaiman. Sometimes I love him, but sometimes I lose patience. I'm not really into graphic novels, generally (which this was, isn't that right?). So, I strongly suspect I missed this one somehow. Heard of it, oh, yes. But read it? Don't believe so and after Ep1, I'm pretty sure I'd have remembered by now if I had.
Vis: Dr. Who/Capaldi: One of these days, I'll get around to that Doctor. I started with him way back--pre-Tom Baker days, when PBS had the re-broacast rights here in the States.
When I was last
routinely watching the Doctor, on then-satellite TV, things got bollixed up, on our then-available schedule--somehow, half of the story arc about River and her parents (no spoilers here!) were lost and never aired. I was increasingly frustrated and getting plot points from online correspondents was a bit annoying.
Then, too, I was beginning to wonder if the next Doctor was going to be
wearing a diaper, which was off-putting. (i.e., younger and younger and younger.) Having missed the end of the Amy Pond/Rory/River arc(s), I didn't want to try to get back into it, trying to figure out where the hell I was, before I made sure that I could get caught up entirely. (And yes, yes, I'm a horrible old bag, not that enthused about a female Doctor, either.)
