In steps 1-5 you are using unformatted text?
Do you use a stylus or a mouse for text selection?
I hate selecting text with my finger.
Fo my very minimal needs on my own reader software I just have a gesture to copy the complete text of the current screen to clipboard. I can paste it into a notepad and chop it down, annotate it.
