As for your eyes, I do agree that getting them checked is a good idea. And if you need glasses then you do. I used to have single vision glasses that I would take off when I read. Now I have progressive lenses.
You could try a web search for stores nearby that sell Kindles. Or you could buy other Kindle from Amazon and see how you get on and if you don't get on, you could return it.

Thank you. I'm at that age of 42, and my parents started needing glasses in their 40's, so it's probably age catching up to me as well. I'll look into some LED lamps.
