Unfortunately I don't know of any place nearby that has an Oasis.
The screen is not damaged and looks fine other than something with the lighting is, I believe, causing eye strain for some reason. This is causing my eyes to go a bit blurry after only a very, very brief time of reading.
I'll keep messing with the settings since obviously something with the device has changed. The only thing I can think of otherwise is my eyes suddenly don't like lit screens, but that doesn't make sense to me either.
I have some older paperwhites I need to charge up. The screens on those feel so small now so I don't enjoy reading with them much, but I may try one of those this weekend and see what happens if I start having issues with the oasis for now.
