Hello. I just joined your community a minute ago.
A friend gave me a Kobo Glo (model N613 is printed on the device).
So I removed their profile from the device, downloaded the Kobo desktop, followed all the "Setup" instructions and created my own Kobo account and connected the device. It did an automatic update (I'm assuming to the firmware) and now the device is basically bricked

The only think I see on the screen is a jagged vertical line down the centre of the device. I have tried all the types of reset I can find online but nothing has helped. I am guessing the Desktop software installed an incorrect firmware. The Kobo is no longer accessible via USB. I was searching online to see if there was a way to install firmware via the uSD and found this forum and thread.
I'm hoping there is a way to save this Kobo. So, if someone could send me a link to a working Firmware download and some instructions that would be awesome. I saw in many of the posts that private messages are sent for the links so I made sure that private messaging is enable in my profile.
Thank you.
