Given that the codenames are themed, you'd reasonably expect that the built-in applications would also have a theme, which they do... and it's not elements/metals—it's the -ickel suffix (e.g., fontickel, sickel, pickel, nickel) .
Someone missed a trick if they didn't name the sync and file copying routines pumpernickel then
