Hi everyone,

First time poster here, so please be kind.

I tried to use my Elipsa yesterday to take some notes in a lecture yesterday, because, you know, taking notes with ink and paper has been a thing for the past few hundred years so I assumed modern technology would be able to keep pace…

Anyway, when syncing I upgraded to the newest software in the hope it would fix the other myriad bugs I’ve been experiencing (mostly with annotations using the stylus on PDFs). However I found that on the latest firmware, the stylus would intermittently stop responding to handwriting for 10-15 seconds, but the stylus would work for other things.

Initially I assumed it was a dying battery in the stylus, or a faulty stylus, so I tried both a new battery and a new stylus and neither helped.

Eventually I downgraded to the previous version and it fixed the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this? And is there any way to stop Kobo pestering me to upgrade to broken firmware every time I sync?

Thanks!
