In over 30 years of email, I've never had it compromised. Stupid organisations have given away email addresses and one ISP exposed their user database. None of that is mitgated by google's abusive approach to you accessing your google email account. Using web mail is less secure than traditional POP3 + SMTP.
This is the first time I have even seen two-factor authentication and application passwords being called "privacy theft".
